Renowned producer Hilton Rosenthal, best known for his productions of Johnny Clegg and his contribution to Paul Simon's Graceland project, has finally unveiled his long-awaited ode to European summers: "Europe in the Summer." Rosenthal has dreamt of capturing the electrifying energy of a European summer in song for many years. Long ago, he recorded a version but shelved it, unsatisfied with its ability to fully encapsulate the feeling. Over the years, he revisited the concept, constantly striving to bring his vision to life. Early in 2024, Rosenthal listened to another demo he'd created a few years prior, and sensed that “it was close." After further refinement, he felt that he had crafted something truly special. With renewed vigor and the assistance of vocalist Hylton Chilchik, he has perfected the track.
“We named the act ‘Neon Hills’, but this is not about the artist, it’s about the concept” he said. The song, with additional production by Ryan Doyle in London, is now ready to make its debut on 24th May 2024.
